5x50 day 43 (I think!) question re time/distance logging

For todays (Sorry, Monday's) effort I went along to my daughters church team football training session; having never played football in my life (as I don't count kicking a ball for a toddler or dog!) it was scary and exhilarating; chasing after people, dodging the ball and trying to keep up with everyone (I was at least 25-30 years older than almost everyone there - only the coach was older than me by a couple of years!)

I really enjoyed it, did some skill training then played 7 a side for a total time of 1 hour 13 minutes. Being addicted to Runkeeper I had that turned on and it showed a pitiful distance completed of 1.31k; but I have logged it as 5k due to the length of time I was playing for, and my legs and butt feel like a major workout has been done!

So, am I right to log it as 5k

I think that if you do an hour workout/ training etc you can log that as 10k. That's what I have been doing. I did an hours tennis last night and boy am I feeling it this mor ing. That's 10k for me!

Hope that helps :)

I agree with Tish - that's definitely 10k. Sounds great fun!

Very brave of you to do football training with young things! Lovely 10k. :)

Thanks! I think a few of the macho lads were a bit put out; but others passed me the ball, didn't moan when I miss kicked, and it as generally a laugh (especially running full pelt at my daughter whenever she got the ball!) :-)

Thanks everyone, re-logged as 10k! Felt the effects today in my hips more than my knees, but went out at 9.30pm tonight in driving rain and cycled just over 7k. Got absolutely soaked, but daughter who had volunteered to come with me (ha ha, first time during 5x50!) was shouting & moaning all the way round!

My hips and legs feel better now, am able to get up like a 50 year old, rather than 90 year old! :-)
