That was awful. My worst run yet. After the first minute of running I was ready to give up and go back to the car. My legs felt heavy, my breathing disorganised and I was miserable. All my very positive thoughts about how I would cope with the rest of the program went down the sink. I thought I wouldn't even get to the end of the run. I'm sure the snails went faster than me! I _did_ finish though and collapsed in the car with Endomondo to check how far I'd gone thinking I wouldnt even have clocked 2 k so slow was I. Amazingly I'd done 3.48k. Now for all of you fast people that's probably pathetic but for me it's actually better than my walking speed 2 months ago. I know it includes walking as well but I didn't feel quite so bad after seeing that. Then home to a hot drink during which it dawned on me that I hadn't had my 2 puffs of ventolin inhaler before starting this run. So now I feel somewhat relieved that I can see a reason for the bad session....whether or not it was!

Oh you silly thing LOL! So very glad you worked out the reason for your rotten experience today. Don't know where you are, but the weather here has turned deceptively chilly again and having thought I'd got rid of my asthma thanks to C25K, I too resorted to using inhaler last night so that I could sleep without hearing my wheezing! Also the blossom and pollen is filling the air, so if your probs are triggered by those too, better keep the ventolin close by! Given all that, you really DID achieve a good distance - well done. No giving up now - we're all willing you onwards and upwards. You're about halfway through the course YAY!!! GO you! You can do this Linda x
Thank you Linda. I needed that telling off Yes it is bitterly cold here this morning in south Manchester. Even though I had a thermal vest on the moment I stopped running I began to get cold. I had to turn the central heating right up to get warm again on my return home.
Well done you though! You are doing really well. I'm in Blackburn and its been really cold, windy and miserable which doesnt help. It might help to think how far you have come since week 1? Good luck for the future weeks.
Thank you Joanne that's a very good thought. Run 1 W one was a killer but I did it and have done much more since. I've had a coffee now and things are getting back into proportion.
Fab distance and despite despite challenges! Well done!
Week 4 was a toughie for me too, but your body adapts so keep going.
Just think - what would have happened 2 months ago if you ran without your inhaler. Your symptoms must be slightly better surely?
