has anyone had back pain while using this? Also, does Incruse Elipta increase peak flow?
I’m new to using inhalers . I’ve been trying various ones out as I have very mild emphysema and very mild bronchiectasis.
I have multiple blood clots in my lungs which were diagnosed 13 months ago but they aren’t dissolving .
My lung consultant said my emphysema and bronchiectasis are so mild they should not be affecting my breathing at all so it’s the blood clots causing the problem I also now have hyper inflated lungs
TIA

I have been using Incruse for years. I do have lumbar back pain but feel it is not linked to the Incruse.
My lumbar back pain is most likely due to osteoarthritis in the spine and some periods in inactivity due to my severe COPD . I exercise regularly, 3 classes a week which does help and back exercises help as well.
Hi, sorry to read that walking from room to room makes you so breathless.
My peak flow is very low as well around 240.
You say your Co2 drops to 81. Do you mean your oxygen level drops to that rather than Co2 which is carbon dioxide.?
If it is your O2 which drops to that level then I hope you have had a home oxygen assessment? If you haven’t why would that be ? Has no one offered you one ?
I have been on ambulatory oxygen for 7 years and without it I would be dead. It improves the quality of my life.
Given that your oxygen level drops that low when you are walking then I think you should be asking for an oxygen assessment. That low level of oxygen will be causing damage to your major organs and not helping you at all. No wonder you are breathless when walking from room to room and not able to exercise. It’s miserable for you.
Are you in the UK ? If so get in touch with who ever looks after your care eg GP and talk it through with them. With your 02 levels so low when you are walking don’t let them fob you off!
You don’t say what your condition is but not sure your peak flow numbers are the main concern at the moment.
My condition is I have multiple clots in both lungs in the periphery area vessels
I’m waiting to see a respiratory consultant in April for results of tests he did . He did angiogram Ct with contrast and further respiratory breathing tests in November .
Oooooh that sounds very uncomfortable. I would still have a word with GP re oxygen levels. And then see what suggestions the Respiratory Consultant has for you in April.
