Hi, just joined up with the COPD group. I've been a member of CKD for a few months now. I was dx with mild Emphysema in '98 but got caught up in smoke from a forest fire in 2001 for a couple of weeks and that caused an exacerbation and now I have about 60% lung function. Still not to bad. I feel lucky as i know many who are much worse off. Luckily I've not had another exacerbation so i'm staying steady at 60%.

I'm 79 and just moved from LVNV to Cincinnati OH. A big move for me.

Hi there are also lots pf people with Emphysema on the Lung Conditions Community Forum which is also part of Health Unlocked. So you may want to add that group also as it is a very busy, supportive and welcoming group.
