got told I have copd over 10 years ago now 60 think last hospitail 4 years ago test said moderate when I got told I had copd I went down hill sorta now 10 years later I am very active still as tree surgeon have no breathing problems go the gym I can jog a mile how can this be I have gone from sorta tightish chest to normal could the tests b wrong the spirometry test I did have ashma from my 20s but it was controlled I do do breathing exercises I have just done 2 days working taking trees down dragging brash out etc etc its hard work and no breathing problems I don't understand how I can b so fit with copd I did get covid in febuary to my astonishmeant I dident get any breathing problems just mucus on my chest I did buy an air phsyio in febuary since I purchased it I do get phlem up wondering if its down to that y I feal great at breathing no titenes

Hi guyWow maybe it's not copd. Speak to your GP. Just be grateful you don't have breathing problems.

Have you seen a Respirologist and had breathing tests done to evaluate what percentage your lung capacity is? There is no way that I can see you having COPD and doing the work you do, let alone jogging, etc. Good for you. Hopefully you were misdiagnosed.

well spirometry tests said I had it thing is I have never smoked had ashma since 21 not bad ashma doc said I have scar tissue on my lungs some how my lungs have got better I do have some titeness but nos as bad as it was 10 years ago
