First, so sorry to found a lump. Glad you are getting in right away to be seen. For the COPD, quitting smoking is the single most important thing that you can do for yourself and your health. Ask both the doc for the lump and the doc for your lungs for suggestions and help in quitting. No magic answer. For myself, Chantix worked. For others, a nicotine patch or lozenges. I suggest also finding an online support group for that.Widening of the airways is sign of bronchiectasis. Please ask your lung doctor when you have the CT scan and breathing tests to look for that. Keep us posted!

Sorry to hear about the lumps, try and stay positive. As regards to COPD, as John has said, giving up smoking is the most important thing you must do. Speak to your GP, ask him for a prescription for patches or lozenges, or something else, I'm sure they are prescribed nowadays. If you can find a support group online that will help too. It's not a cure though, but it should ease your breathing a bit. Good luck re the lumps. And as John said keep us posted.

Healing prayers sent your way ... try to stay positive, I know it must be hard. Have you talked to your Doctor about maybe trying Chantix to stop smoking ??

I’m using patches done a week now without a cigarette but needed to go onto zero nicotine vape.
