Hi could someone advise me please. I had the flu about 3 weeks ago. Not too bad but had to stay in bed for 3 days..thank god it didn't go down on my chest.. I have copd mild/moderate also asthma.im on spiollto respimat 2 puffs every morning. for copd and flixotide twice a day for asthma. .my daughter who lives with me has it now and I think I'm getting it again feeling rough shivering and then hot.. am wheezing a lot and coughing .is it possible to get it so soon again .what I would like to know can I take more rescue inhaler more than 2 puffs 4 times a day. I don't normally use it but feel I need it today.. I've already taken 8 puffs today..but still wheezing..

Contact Dr immediately I got a cold and sweating a lot same mild/moderste emphysema and asthma. I feel rough so going to contact gp once open

Phone Dr immediately I am got cold like you u have copd and asthma. Nurse said 4 puffs of blue four times a day

Thanks Emily61..wheezing seems to have eased off took 2 puffs of blue inhaler when I got up..so far so good but stíl feel feverish i have appointment with doc on Wednesday for BP check.. so il wait and see how I am till then. 🤞Hope your doing OK.. Xx. Ps didn't know you could take 4 puffs at one go. I thought it was only 2 4 times a day?

Diagnosed May do have moments where bresthing a little off but think more so if I am not feeling well what about you

Diagnosed 1 year ago with mild/moderate and also asthma.. I'm doing OK most of the time don't really notice any difference except get wheezy at times then I use blue inhaler and feel OK.. Have had 3 chest infections since being diagnosed last one was hospitalised for 3 days.. Don't really suffer with breathlessnes unless I'm going up lots of stairs..I still smoke.. xx

Well nurse said 4 puffs no more than 4 times a day

I always try to err on the side of caution, I think a call to your doctor is in order.

You need to be checked sounds like you may have a fever and it could easily turn into phumonia and be careful with how many times you use your rescue inhaler without your Doctor approval

I went to my doc on Wednesday I have chest infection got antibiotics and steroids no fever.. Still feeling rough and quite wheezy tho.. Hopefully antibiotics will kick in tomorrow.. I am just taking 2 puffs 4 times a day.. Thanks for the advice TN57.. X
