Flixotide

So a doctors appointment will be booked tomorrow to discuss , but I was just wondering if anyone else children have had this reaction to flixotide ?

There I received a prescription for Atimos modulite 12, Flixotide 250. In case of infection, additional Pulmicort and Salbutamol to the nebuliser. I checked all these new drugs to see if they were on the NHS list. It turned out that they are.

Post covid I have a chronic mucus cough so my GP has switched me to Clenil from Flixotide. Having never previously had any side effects from Flixotide, I now have headaches, restless legs, insomnia and hunger from the Clenil. Thoughts?

Took cetirizine, usual 2 x Flixotide bid but now Ventolin too, still bad. Better outside but can't live out there. Which one shall I use more of till it settles down? Thanks.🤷‍♀️

I use a low dose Flixotide preventer inhaler every day and salbutamol when required. Day to day you wouldn't know that I have asthma, and during the summer I can get away with halving my preventer dose with no problems at all.

It’s hard to know if this may be thyroid related but I came across the suggestion that Flixotide may cause adrenal problems. I’ve been taking Flixotide since 2018 , 250 x four puffs daily, along with Braltus. Bricanyl is my blue inhaler which I hardly ever use.

I use spacer for Flixotide, 2 Puffs bid, rarely have to use Ventolin now but did today without. Wondered if I should use spacer which would have traces of Preventer still in it?

His preventer medication is flixotide,sorry, it's seretide two puffs daily. We honestly feel like home schooling is the only way to stop him suffering so much. Please, anyone any advice? Experience???

Another question from me...It's been suggested to me that I could add a Flixotide 250 to my medications, which is currently Symbicort 200 (MART but I still use a lot of Salamol during flare-ups) and Montelukast. To me, this seems weird (and would that be a High Steroid Dose?)

I was moved to flixotide 125 last year after my asthma worsened. I take 1 puff morning and night. Since summer last year I have had oral thrush on and off constantly. I never had this on my previous inhaler which was clenil 100.

I’m not straightforward and last spirometry was best ever, but at the time I was on 40mg pred, antibiotic nebs for pseudomonas, x4 ipatropium nebs, x4 salbutamol nebs, seretide 500 x1 daily, flixotide 500 x1 daily, NACYS x1 daily, fexofenadene x2 daily, dymista x1 daily, montelukast, azithromycin 250mg

At my asthma review I mention this about palpations so after a discussion tried flixotide 125 this was ok but developed bad pain in head not a headache as such so stopped it. I suggested a lower one in the beclamethasone to see if it helped.

It definitely started after 1st Pheizer but has exacerbated sjnce the change of my Flixotide Accuhaler dosage being put up.. Then down agai. Because it gave me thrush..

I was using evohaler flixotide but at a very small dose two 50 puffs twice a day so i swapped to the accuhaler 100. What works best for you? I have heard about Montelukast. I have appointment with the doctor on the 18th this month but its so frustrating having to wait.

I've tried a variety of other inhlaers over the past year: Q-var, Pulmicort, Seretide 50, Flixotide (with and without either formoterol or Salmeterol). None of them work anywhere near as well as the Fostair. Thus, I'm at a bit of a dead end.

I became so well that I stopped taking the montelukast last May (with no adverse effects) and in December after discussions with my asthma nurse went on to Flixotide instead of Relvar.

I have recently been given Flixotide 250 and have been instructed to take 2 puffs morning and night. After doing a bit of research, I see this is quite a high dose inhaler.

I have increased flixotide from usual 250mg to 750mg on day 2 and now 1000mg day on day 6. No real wheezing and breathing easyish at rest. But feel lung capacity limited both when normal breathing and taking inhaler.

I switched over from Flixotide to Qvar 10 days ago to check if my burning back pain is related to flixotide. My asthma seems to be less controlled on Qvar so I will probably need to go back on Flixotide.
