Hi hope you’re all trying to enjoy the sunshine,

I was diagnosed 10 years ago with Copd and managed it quiet we’ll until developing liver problems which resulted in a successful liver transplant

However, I am be devilled with a very productive cough which produces large quantities of phlegm which has resulted in anxiety and depression

No matter what I do. I can’t get rid of this phlegm.

I use nebuliser, ipetropium, Salbutamol, Saline, Asmanex, and Prednidolone with antibiotics and Mucodyne , now vomiting up everything I eat and having an endoscopy tomorrow.

Since the transplant I have had lots of illness’s eg Sepsis, osteoporosis virtually constant pneumonia etc The list goes but the phelghm remains especially the first couple of hours h,

I’m a 68 gam man I a 34 year relationship and consider myself very fortunate and grateful to all those who have looked after me.

I would be eternally grateful if you could help with how to reduce the amount of phlegm I’m producing daily.

I would sincerely appreciate your advice and wish you all well.

Dennid

Good morning. I'm sorry your having so much trouble with mucus but there are things you can do that have worked for me. With thAt said, I'm no Dr and you should always get Dr advice on anything you take especially supplements and herbs. I take nac, cordyceps , serrapeptase, and coq10, and vitamin c and d everyday. The serrapeptase is what really helps clear mucus. Also, plenty of fluids like water or hot teas can help greatly. I would discuss this with your Dr and pulmonary care Dr. First before taking anything. I hope this helps and your soon feeling better
