Mexico is the same. I can get 3 months of albuterol for $5, and here I pay $79 for one. Same for Symibcort. In Mexico I pay $40 for one month, here it is $341. Spiriva is even worse. It is ridiculous. I hit the donut hole on Medicare in less than 4 month buying drugs here. So, so, wrong on so many levels.

You can order Spiriva for 3 months and they give you a discount so it's 156.00 thru Canadian Pharmacy all they ask is if you have a Dr. Prescription which I do. They are great and you can call the Pharmacist as well.

Hi Georgia, I'm new here. Where can I find info about getting meds cheaper from other countries, specifically Albuterol in Mexico and/or Canada ?

Thanks

I go to the Purple Pharmacy in Los Algodones, Mexico. It's about a 15 minute from Yuma, AZ where I spend a couple of months in the winter. They have a web site you can go to and check prices. No script needed. You can get a 3 month supply at a time. Way, way, way cheaper then in the US. You do need an enhanced drivers license or a passport to cross the border, tho.

What Is the website

In House PHARMACY look it up thru Google. I get prescriptions from them and they are fabulous. They are either England or Australia and it's a fraction of the price.

I so know what you mean. I have been going to Yuma, AZ for the past 6 years from January through March, and make a few trips into Mexico just for this purpose. I am also on Spiriva, Symbicort, and Albuterol and hit the donut hole before 4 months. I have sold my little place in Yuma, due to health deterioration, but stocked up 18 months worth of the above while I was there. I don't know what I am going to do when it runs out. The price of drugs in this country is obscene. Very worrisome.

If you go to Spiriva website to the manufacture of product they have a form you can fill out and they will send you rx monthly - you fill out a portion and your Dr another part - they will send it monthly for you -at no cost ! boehringer-ingelheim.us/ patient assistance program . It helps to know you are going to get your medicine .

Actually you don't even need him to do that if you have a copy of rx - look at form .. and see what you need to do - free rx's for a year and all you have to do is re-certify at end of next year .

Kassy6767, If you live in the USA there are companies out there that can get you your meds for a little to nothing and some are even free. Contact the company who makes the drug, sign up for their programs, don't go without your meds.

Thanks for the info on the Symbicort and Spiriva free from manufacturers. For clarification on the free meds mentioned above, you first have to fill out an application listing your income among other things, to see if you qualify. These drug are not just sent free to all. It is strictly on an income and requirement basis.
