feeling very lucky

last friday i had colonoscopy and a endoscopy i had been suffering from heavy bleeding with clots so feared the worse however no sign of cancer was found there was a polyp found which was removed and my esophagus was slightly inflamed which is due to reflux they did find severe Haemorrhoids that have to be surgically removed. I am extremely grateful for this support group who helped me through a time that was i must admit terrifying lover the past few months i have such cancer history in my family so i was expecting the worse my thoughts are with everybody not so fortunate as myself God Bless Paul

hi Paul so glad everything was good it is very scary, I myself had lots of blood loss and clots but colonoscopy was thankfully clear, I’m now awaiting a gastrophy to explore further, I no I have a sliding hiatus hernia

Did you have one scope and referred for the other after one was ok x

hi nat i am glad it went ok for you i had them both done at the same time which was an experience the one strange thing that they did find i was born without an appendix

wow both at same time, that’s some going that is Paul, one at a time is bad enough. But I would of been better having the gastrophy straight after the colonoscopy as Bern fully prepped and empty stomach and bowel

Really Iv never known that, and I don’t even think the appendix has any use that I have heard of of other than they thought it was the cause of my stomach pain when I was younger, hence having had it taken out aged 18, turns out I had ibs and nothing to do with my appendix. Thank you for reply x

hi Paul just an update on me had my gastrophy endoscope and they found Multiple gastric hyperplastic polyps in my stomach so awaiting apt to go back hospital and see consultant so hope this was cause of my bowel bleed & positive FIT Test or il still need answers x

hi Nat i do hope you get some positive news when you have your next appointment its very worrying when you don’t know what is going on the polyp they removed from me during colonoscopy was sent of for biopsy as a routine precaution i am awaiting the results of that my fitt test was positive too but my consultant expected it as at the time there was blood present in the stool please let me know how you get on

thank you, it is more scary not knowing what your dealing with, I list a lot of bowel blood clots and was wiping and in stool with positive FIT test yet my colonoscopy was clear so really made me uneasy as thought only blood loss from bowel but apparently it can come from the stomach also but don’t no how it works with positive FIt test if not from bowel, I hope your results are clear lovely shouldn't wait too much longer now usually about 2 weeks or little longer x
