I have been experiencing diahhrea anytime I get nervous and haven't put much thought to it.

I have had 3 pregnancies since 2019 and haven't made time to get re established with a general practice, just an OB!

I've been having very loose stools and diarrhea, made a dr appointment for Wednesday, for hopeful peace of mind has anyone had bloody loose stools that ended up hemorrhoid? Sorry for graffic pic for reference

Hi HypochondriacHere,

Thank you for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. It is possible that this could end up being hemorrhoids. There could be a lot of different things causing this as well. There can also be blood in the stool that's undetectable to the eye. So, it's tough to make a diagnosis by looking at a picture. But I am glad to see that you are going to have a doctor appointment to have it checked out. Exactly what you need to be doing. If it's not determined from a physical exam then you'll probably need to get a colonoscopy. Either way, you need to find the answer and you are definitely on your way to that.👍👏

I do wish you the best in finding out what's going on. Also, I hope the three little ones are all doing well. We need to get you on the path to not having to worry about this. And please let us know what you find out because it's that type of information that can be helpful to others on this site as well.

Thank you,

~Tom, GCCA Survivor - Colon Cancer Connected Site Administrator.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! My 3 girls are doing great, this whole thing has me most nervous for them because they'll need me around a long time!! I'm trying to stop googling lol its saying all the worst things 😆 I appreciate your kind words! I will update after appointment tomorrow 🙏

I don’t know anything but also wanted to say my poop is very similar. I’ve had a FIT test and am awaiting referral for a colonoscopy. I know how scary it is especially when you have kids. I’m trying to remind myself it could be lots of other things rather than something nasty like cancer. Whatever it is you’re doing the right thing by going to the drs. The way I see it, if it is something nasty there’s nothing we can do to change that. All we can do is try to get it identified asap so we can start treatment and hopefully catch it early. But also, it could be so many other things!! So let’s get it identified so we can treat whatever it is. Good luck!

Thank you!! Prayers whatever you have going on gets good answers and resolved quickly! I'm trying not to worry, its making my stomach upset! Lol! I honestly might have IBS too. And you're so right, the scariest part is having kids during this, makes it scarier. Good luck to you! Please drop an update when you know!

I will do. And you too. Out of curiosity did covid affect your stomach? I swear mines been playing up since I last had covid in February.

I’ve had tears and sure there will be more but right now I’m in limbo land waiting for future tests and results. I decided to try and be as optimistic as possible because as Mums we just have to get on with it and we don’t want them seeing us upset. You’re doing the right thing by getting it investigated. Have you spoken to any friends or family about your concerns. I know it’s not the nicest of subjects but I do think it’s really good to talk about these things. I think my husband is starting to get sick of hearing about my bowel movements 🤣 I’m getting sick of googling other peoples poops to compare. I’ve eased off that recently. Seen enough to last a lifetime!

Waiting is the hard part! Very difficult to act normal as a mom when you're scared, I feel that!

I have had covid but not sure if this has any connection. I'm going to get my thyroid checked as well!

My husband has heard the most and I'm sure he'll be happy when hopefully things are normal again and I'm not talking about such lovely details 😂

I did tell my mom and a couple friends, helps to hear their advice, specifically not to jump to the worst conclusion, it could be lots of things. Hang in there!!

Update! I've been referred to a GI to get a colonoscopy! She believes I have colitis, and says the GI referral is out of extra caution! I was doing better but went down the rabbit hole of googling again, makes me want to cry sometimes. The anxiety is hard. My poor husband is hanging in there with me!

hey. How are you getting on? Do you have a date for your colonoscopy? I have mine tomorrow. Yes I’m nervous but also I can’t keep on in limbo land so looking forward to getting some answers (and scared of answers at the same time). It’s a rollercoaster of emotions!

I'm doing a bit better emotionally! The GI was so sweet and understanding, I even cried and she hugged me lol. She thinks I have alot of anxiety not helping the situation! My colonoscopy and EGD is scheduled for November. She thinks it's my upper stomach and other possibilities including hemorrhoids lol

Prayers and positive thoughts for your appointment tomorrow!Glad you're getting answers, hoping it's good!

Let you know how I get on tomorrow. I’ve just started the bowel cleanse drinks. Super sweet and salty. Home bound for the rest of the day!

So I had my colonoscopy. I opted for sedation plus the gas and air. Loved the gas and air! Helped make up for the bowel cleanse. I’ve been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I wanted to let you know as I was convinced I had colon cancer. So pleased it’s something else. They’re writing me a prescription today and I’ll be going back home shortly.

After fluctuating stool and noticing blood for approx 8 months intermittently..I plucked up courage to go to drs..ruled out infection /positive FIT test and urgent colonscopy. Found larger looking polyp and now waiting on results. Hopefully it's nothing sinister! Xx glad your having am investigation..Best not to ignore! Xx
