Positive FIT, Negative Colonoscopy and Endoscopy but very Anaemic

Hi,

I'm trying to work out how I became very anaemic within a year - low ferritin. They found I had blood in my stool as I had a positive FIT result of 34 but when I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy they couldn't find anything wrong. Anyone else had similar? Thanks!

Similar but im male. Negative gaatrosxope, negative virtual colon CT but also qfit twice negative. Ive also had small bowel investigations by camera but im anemic!.

Thanks for your response! Have the doctors suggested what it could be? What are the next steps for you?

Doctor doesn't know. I've got a appointment with gastroenterologist next Week, at cost to me as NHS have deemed it as a routine review. Either my tests have missed something or theres something else. But clearly something is causing this. Small bowel is,often over looked as possible origin.

I had same but passed a lot of blood over 3 days eventually a large blood clot was in so much pain and had stomach pain since October, my fit test was positive colonoscopy was clear, just had a gastrophy which found Multiple gastric hyperplastic polyps so maybe that has caused the bowel bleeding haemorrhage and clots as it was not diarrhoea or stool just blood, hope they have found the answer awaiting apointment back at hospital x
