Positive FOBT and clear colonoscopy with no answers to bleeding and mucus in stool.

I’m 26 and was having stomach pains mostly on the left and lower abdomen. I have blood and mucus in my stools and they are flat. I tested positive with the Fecal Occult Stool test but my colonoscopy came clear. The doctor didn’t say if I had hemorrhoids or anything and hasn’t referred me to the gastro. What could be wrong with me?

Hi. We have almost the same symptoms i also have blood and mucus in stool. Is your blood and mucus in stool also on and off? And how long did you experience that? I'm planning to go to the doctor tomorrow.

So during this few weeks, do u still experience blood in stool?? Just to ask u, ur blood in stool just comes like that right

The report was forwarded to my doctor. I also have it too and it concludes ‘‘normal colonoscopy’’ . I have been using stool softener for almost 4 months now. There are days I don’t use it tho.
