Today I went for my colonoscopy. The staff were fantastic. The sedative did not really work for me. I soldiered on with the prep knowing I did not want to have to come back. I had 4 polyps removed thought to be benign but going to the lab for checking. Also some biopsy’s so have to wait for the report. I have diverticulitis but no cancer apparent. So I am back at home after all the waiting feeling so much better. Have some wind pain and soreness but glad to get it over with. So as it is said not all bleeding and abnormal FIT tests are cancer. You have to have the colonoscopy to check though. Good luck to all who are waiting for their procedures.

Hey Docksgirl,
YES!!! That is fantastic news. Glad you got that done. Yeah, the prep part is not always easy, so you just have to fight through it. I've had friends not do a proper prep and the had to do it all over again. A double whammy. And we are so glad you are feeling so much better.
Your words "not all bleeding and abnormal FIT tests are cancer" are so very true. But you have to get it checked out and your results were very good. You caught things early, and that is so beneficial to your health.
We wish you the very best in obtaining a positive biopsy report. It would be interesting to hear your approach to dealing with your diverticulitis. It is an intestinal issue and there are many different approaches to dealing with it.
Glad you are back at home and feeling better. And thank you for sharing your journey through this. I'm sure it's very helpful to others in the group. 👍❤️🤟

Really happy to hear your news. Thanks for letting us know. I was thinking of you yesterday.
I'm still waiting for colonoscopy and admit I am very nervous, your post though has brought me hope, so thank you for sharing your experience.
