hi everyone not posted in a while! I’m doing good for those of you who have been following my journey, now I have another one to share, my husband has been told his iron levels are very low, he’s gone from 1000 to 40 , he had throat cancer over ten years ago, his voice box was removed, he’s now none verbal, he’s now facing more tests because of his iron levels, we had appointment with the bowel constant on Tuesday, he’s going to fast track him for emergency endoscopy then maybe colonoscopy, in his case the doctor said 93% it’s cancer & 7% it’s not ! so we are both very worried.

Hi Dance22, good to hear from you.

I hate to hear what your husband is going through. I'm glad to hear he's a survivor of throat cancer. I had deficient iron levels once at it was a nasty ulcer in my stomach. I'm glad to see you are all over this as you need a definitive answer and you're on your way to getting that.

Not sure where your doctor got those percentages. Was there any explanation on where those percentages came from? There are blood tests that can quickly identify dead cancer cells being discarded in the blood stream. Grail is one of them.

We do wish you well with the endoscopy and anything that will determine the cause. Please let us know what you find out. ❤️

Hi thank you for your reply we are waiting for an appointment! to have an endoscopy and a colonoscopy performed at the same hospital, I’m just worried for my husband he’s now none verbal due to closing his fiscal valve last year, our NHS have been getting him in the fast track clinic so just waiting for appointments.

I get an annual colonoscopy and every 3 years I include an endoscopy as well. I do get knocked out using propofol. I find it to be the most relaxing thing. To have both during the same visit is no big deal👍❤️

You got this💪👍❤️
