I still have some hurdles to overcome but great news. On Monday of this week I had labs drawn, clinic (see the PA or Dr) to discuss. Then I also had a Bone Marrow draw ( biopsy). Wednesday more labs, clinic. Most numbers have been entering normal range except platelets and Red bloods cells ( normally lag). The great news shared at Friday’s clinic, Bone Marrow revealed NO CLL or Lymphoma and 100% donors cells.
I still was struggling Monday and Tuesday. Kidney function was bad and edema had increased up my legs. Monday they told be to hold the Tacrolimus, which helps to prevent GVHD ( graft vs host disease). Suspicion was it was Tacro was causing the side effects. As a result on Wed. They substituted Tacro with Sirolimus. Sirolimus is often used after kidney transplants. I’ve been feeling much better since the change. On Friday after labs, kidney function was better so they added a diuretic for the edema and a preventative med for pneumonia.
Overall things are progressing well. There are benchmarks to achieve but I'm looking forward to the future.
