I'm 5 years diagnosed and approaching 4 on imbruvica. All numbers are good, and until recently only the fingernail and split skin issues.
In the last few weeks I've been experiencing the often mentioned muscular muscle pain...seems to travel from left shoulder to tricep and bicep.
I've been taking 1000 mg of Tylenol as needed which kind of works and helps mask the pain...
However..over the last couple of days I've had great results taking Methocarbamol which is a muscle relaxant. My oncologist knows that I've taken this in the past prior to heavy physical labor ...so it must be ok.
But it seems to really help...my supply is of 750 mg pills...I'm taking 1/2 pill 2 x day...woke up this morning with shoulder pain...took 1/2 pill about 30 minutes before beginning this post and their is relief.
I know it's early on to say that Methocarbamol really works but so far so good.

If I understand your post correctly, you have begun taking the muscle relaxer again and have not notified your Dr. It is important that you call to report that,---there might be a contraindication between it an Ibrutinb--so, please be safe and talk with your Dr or his RN/PRN. Things are going well, and you don't want to mess that up or cause some other situation by adding without checking with your Dr.
Glad to hear Ib. is working on the CLL--and I hope you can maybe find a stretching exercise that can help you with your shoulder/arm aches---
BTW, which side is that pain on? There could be some heart involvement as Ibrutinib can cause some heart involvement.
No.....it's been on my list of meds since day one....my point was after just couple doses since this muscle pain....it seems to help. I'm very proactive with my Dr
