Good Morning, I have been on 280 mg of Imbruvica for almost 4 months and most of the side effects are manageable. However, I am getting sporadic pain and swelling in my wrist that seems to go away after I apply Blue Emu and an occasional Aleve. Whats worse is the pain on my rib cage under my left breast. This is constant at a level of 3-7 depending on the day. I do the same thing putting Blue Emu, Aleve and every so often, a Lanacane patch. IS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCING THIS PAIN AND IF SO, HOW LONG DOES THIS PAIN KEEP COMING?
Thank you;;Rosa

has your spleen been examined. the pain you describe under the left breast is where enlarged spleen pain usually happens. as far as the rotating bone pain i had it for several months and it slowly became less and less
Thank you. Yes, my spleen is checked every month when I see my Oncologist. Nothing wrong there, not like before when it was really enlarged. The Imbruvica is keeping it in check.
My wife refers to it as migrating pain. The location can change from hour to hour.
She has used Aleve, and (Lidocaine 5% patches, Tramadol, both require a prescription)
Currently she is in clinical remission (13 months now) and has not been using any novel agents. After about 9 months off all CLL novel agents the pain has began to subside a good bit.
Hi Im Sheila & Ive had this disease for almost 13 years. Im in the CLL family, however I acyltuslly tested negative for CLL. They are calling it a lymphoma. I started 450 mg og imbrubiva almost 3 months ago. Initially, I was tired but that seems to have subsided. I did have pain on my left side. Believe it or not, i got adjusted by a chiropractor and its done. Same with the occasional leg pain. Try it guys. It just might work. Before I went on Imbruvica, i did 4 weeks of Rituxin. That dropped by white cell by 80 %. I did it for 4 weeks with no side effects. Its important to do the once a week infusion with a steroid, to better tolerate the Rituxin. Then its a breeze. The last time I did Rituxin I was in remission for 8 years. It was recommended by MD Anderson. Hope this helps team!!
I have been on Ibrutinib for 7 months and it is a wonder drug! But it does come with some weird random side effects. I had tons of bone pain in the first couple of months which just moved around my body. I was prescribed codeine but not sure it really worked although it made me feel very relaxed! These occurrences have become very few and far between now. Hopefully your pain will disappear as your body gets used to the medication. Good luck. x
