Hi there. This is Rosa. I've been on Imbruvica now for 4 weeks and to my surprise have had minor side effects. So, I have questions.

1. I get blisters in my mouth that start about an hour after I take the pill. I rinse and manage them very well. When do you think this will go away.

2. I am starting to get aches in my hands, wrist and ankles. I'm not taking anything for them except eating Cherry's that seem to help a little but not much. When do you think this will go away.

3. I noticed yesterday that some of my hair is falling out. Not a lot. Just a few at a time. Will this go away in time.

Thank you all for your support

Hi Rosa, all that you’re experiencing has happened to me also. I can tell you this will subside in time especially with the hair.

Regarding the mouth blisters I use a mouthwash called cepacol which I purchase at the pharmacy in Australia. I use it everyday. Works great for me.

With the aches and pains I persevere with them at present.

I wish you all the very best with your treatment.

Take care and look after yourself.

Kind regards Josephine 😊🌹

Hi Rosa I started imbruvica last September and had all the things you mentioned. They eased with time. The joint pain much less and roved around and new w most times non existent. At this s time though I am now dealing with hip joint which I bruised. You will feel better and better. Wishing you the best.

I had all those side effects, plus very dry skin (my face wrinkled like a 90 year old's) but within three months all my symptoms disappeared except for occassional joint pain. And that can be managed by a few tylenol...These small inconveniences are well worth it when you see your WBC lower and your energy return! Hang in there!

Had all the same side effects. Hair stopped falling out about 6 months in. Mouth sores went away and came back about 3 months later, but have not returned in the last 12 months. Aches and pains are fleeting and come and go.

Good luck

Thank you Becky. Did ALL of your hair fall out or just a little bit? Did you go bald or just thinned out.

Just thinned out. But when it came back in it was curly!!!
