Creatinine goes up after bendamustine and rituximab infusion

I had B and R Thursday. Beforehand I had a cocktail of drugs including tylenol. prednisone, and benadryl. My creatinine went from 0.96 on Thursday to 1.11 before drug infusion on Friday. I wonder if the drugs raised my levels.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Drink, drink, drink. You need to flush out all the dead cancer cells and the drugs.

mIne went from .96 to 1.11. Is that "a little"? How much did your change (from what to what?)

Mine doubled although it was from a lower than normal outlier for me. I was also told to drink loads. Basically creatine is raised due to the kidneys being unable to flush all the toxins out of the body as the CLL cells die.

A small rise is really to be expected.

And as others have advised drinking plenty of water is the best idea. Your doctors May decide to do more blood tests to follow the trend. Mine settled quite quickly.

I think you must be talking about the first round, and perhaps you had tumor lyssi. Have you had the second round? Did they give you a bunch of pills including prednisone and benedryl before the infusion? If so do you recall if creatinine increased more modestly (like mine) between the blood test on the first day and the one on the second day during the second round? I am wondering if the pills can raise creatinine. I read prednisone does.
