Good morning everyone I have not checked in here for a while but I am still running - parkruns plus 2 weekday runs.
Plus volunteering at Junior parkrun
No plans to do anything elsebut has anyone tried the 5 to 10K app - asking for a friend 😀

Jump to replies👋Good to hear from you and great that you are still getting three runs a week 😀😊
Are you still strumming 🎶? I also play the ukulele and recently joined a group 😊
Lovely to see you back! I haven’t tried that app-I’ve only used the Nike Run Club to get from 5k to 10k and a variety of paper plans.
Basically, any app or plan will get you (or your friend!) there so it’s mainly about finding something you like that suits your starting point and your run pattern. I’ve got a massive tendency to overthink and spend ages looking for the perfect plan when really, it’s getting out and actually running that’s the important thing. Saying that, sometimes having a browse round different options can be quite fun!
Good luck to you and your friend with your runs. Sounds like you’re in a great place at the moment…enjoy!!!
RunaroundSue! Hello! I didn’t use an app, I did the calculations on a bit of paper and used Runkeeper. I’m not still running, but I did learn to drive a digger.
You can use the Magic Plan chart by ju-ju- . There's no particular app for it.
Thanks everyone. When I wanted to get to 10K, I just added 10 minutes a week, using the Audiofuel podcasts.
But my husband wants to get back up to 1OK with someone telling him what to do. He found this app and I wondered what it is like.
I used Coach Bennett and Nike for my 10K and enjoyed it...
Like drl212 above I used various of the FREE Nike Run Club app runs to get to 10k, and Ju-Ju's plan to decide on the distances. There are scores of runs on NRC, all different durations and distances. And also the option to do a quick start, with no coach, and just set time or distance. I use NRC along with the FREE BBC Sounds Pacesetter playlist, rather than Spotify or NRC's playlist.
Hiya Sue! Good to hear you’re still about. Haven’t tried it I’m afraid, I sort of used Ju Ju’s plan after accidentally running 7.5k one day (sorry, that’s not much help!). Sometimes these things just happen organically. Take care 😊
