What a B E A Uuuuuutiful Fresh Spring 🌞 Sunny morning for a Recovery Trail 🏃♀️.
I used to always do this path then ventured on other paths but this morning I was determined to face it again and im so glad I did I bloody loved every minute of it .
I can’t express how much being on your own in the woodland hearing the birds happily song , hearing the distant hum glum and bustle of life , planes in the sky , people walking or cycling or running , looking up seeing the blue sky feeling the sun on your face and breathing in fresh air . It’s sooo CATHARTIC ❤️.
After a niggly heal from Tuesdays 6mile run I changed to my Merrells to see how they faired and I’m happy to report my feet were happy . That’s a win for me .
Slipped loads today thanks to yesterday’s rain and I was about as elegant as an elephant on ice 🤣🤣🤣.
Happy Thursday you lot

Exactly and this morning everything felt good . I ran more which I have been yearning for and my heel was absolutely fine. Long may this continue . Thanks lovely
I love the “elephant on ice” analogy! I’m often a “drunken octopus” myself! Glad your heel is ok. I don’t know whether you’re the same as me and every niggle feel like a potentially disastrous injury brewing… great that a simple change of shoes sorted it!!
The birds have suddenly woken up , haven’t they?!! They were loud enough for me to hear over my podcast on my last run!! Here’s to more of that!!
Haaa that’s brilliant glad it’s not just me then . Yes any niggle and I’m like ohhh nooo. So before I pondered quitting curiosity got the better of me and I was like let’s see if the trainer change will help and it did .
I’ve always stuck to brooks and my Cascadia 16’s are usually ok and these are new but for some reason once I’ve done a run my heel hurts starts just before I’m about to end a run. So went for merrell as they have a wide toe box and after my run I had no heel pain , whereas after with my brooks I felt it all the way home and the day after
