🌓 Just have come back from my first ever dusk and early evening run. 😊😃 So I’m very happy, although more out of breath than usual. But THIS morning runner has just expanded her ability to be flexible in the choice of times for a run.
🇫🇷 Also I ran to that lovely Runkeeper’s voice of Mademoiselle. Ooooooohhh, do I love a french accent! And she was so nice to me!
🏃🏻♀️ For Runkeeper users: I realised rather late that the different voices do not work when you use your own workout ( like manually set intervals). So for anyone wanting to try different voices, make sure under ‘workout‘ it says none.
🪐 For my last run, I had enjoyed the celestial music of Holst, whilst my drill instructor was shouting: “I’m not your mother!!!“. 🤣🤣🤣
🎧 Both were not the best accompaniments to my running, so my search to add to my collection of great music, great routes and great voices continues.
Happy searching and happy running everyone.

Evening CBDB, brave night Run, braver than me anyway, and I have come to the conclusion that you’re definitely having so much fun, 🥳🤸♀️🤗
‘Night’ might be exaggerating a little 😆 but it was in the process of getting dark. So a run in the dark is still ahead of me and I’m not sure I’m looking forward to it!
But I’m sure I can get drill instructor to shout at me: “I’m not your mother! Let’s move! You better squeeze those buns!” 🤣🤣
I am not sure if you can change the language in Runkeeper but if you could it would be interesting if the drill instructor shouted out the instructions in German, that would sound like something from a movie.
My conscience comes out with some hilarious sayings! Worth trying it just for those!
I have also started to broaden my repertoire, and have done a couple of evening runs. It is great to have options now that the nights are getting longer!
Thank you! Yes, I’ll make sure I’ll try every voice in Runkeeper. Lots of fun.
Yes, I’m still panicking about light conditions and haven’t quite got used to running on pavement yet, but getting there. And I need a good set of road shoes rather than trail shoes.
Long-term goal: be able to run in any weather, at any time and on any route surface.
Oh, good that it helped. For a long time I didn’t know what the fuss was about! But I’m having a blast now trying each voice out for a different run. Enjoy! 😃😃
