I have never regretted getting my running shoes finally and completing my C25k but sometimes life just gets in the way and you lose your mojo!

I have still been running but need a cause sometimes to get out, I have been doing some of the NRC mindful runs and can really recommend.

This morning woke and thought must get up the sun is breaking through and remembered Instructor57 running the 40 minute Running towards your goal run so downloaded and went out, such a good run it made me really think and realise I just need to run for myself not worry about speed or distance just get strong , healthy and happy ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฅ so Happy Easter Running everyone letโ€™s just run and have fun!!

Managed a smidge under 6k in 40 minutes ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Good on you! I like those runs too and Iโ€™m re-doing them as a mini-challenge to myself. On my app, NRC have currently packaged the mindful runs as the โ€˜April Stackโ€™. Having started a bit late, I doubt Iโ€™ll get all 9 done before the end of the month but itโ€™s giving me an added motivation to prioritise my running.

They are good Iโ€™m usually waiting for a time or a distance when I run using Strava so itโ€™s good to just run and not worry very mindful!

Hi Wavy-chick! You don't seem to have lost your fitness even if you've not been doing so much running! We must be getting near to a year since we graduated C25K now.

It sounds like you need a challenge to keep getting out there ๐Ÿ˜ˆ. If you're not into parkrun type of thing then maybe try this? I've got the 1000km picture on the fridge and I love seeing it getting filled in. It has the challenge element as I'm aiming to do it in a year but I guess you dont need a time scale. I'm way behind as I'm only at 150km, life and covid etc... If I dont make it within the year I'll just keep going and see how long it takes me! I've got a friend who also does it and she adds her hiking miles to it as well as her runs.

I also heard some folk only allow themselves to listen to a particular podcast or audiobook while they're out doing their runs. You could do your Alan Carr one! You'll find your thing I'm sure but whatever it is keep going, we've come so far!

Thanks tmbtrain that seems right up my street love a chart on the fridge! I also thought I would love Park run as I have done a few charity runs before and loved the camaraderie but and I must admit I only did it once it was a bit clicky and 300 packed running round the park just didnโ€™t do it for me๐Ÿ˜•

I need to sign up for a race to spark my interest again.

I did do another mindful run on the NRC app again this morning and really enjoyed it , was good to get out and clear m head too!

Hope you are on track for your training๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Thats a nice 5k there! I do like the NRC guided runs as well from time to time. Parkrun doesn't appeal to me either really, I'd rather go my own routes but I understand why folk like it. Its nice to see the progress of the colouring in on the fridge while waiting on the kettle boiling, we're obviously visually motivated ๐Ÿ˜‚. I managed 20km last week so training starting to pick up again after covid. I took it easy to start with but building back nicely now.

Maybe get yourself signed up for a race somewhere new for a tourism run. My motivation to run is solely for the tour du mont blanc this year. Really need the stamina and stronger legs, heart and lungs. Once thats over I'll probably slacken off unless I get a new challenge.
