Got out there for my 2nd run of my “return from flu” plan. I’m not really sure what to call this plan. It’s not quite C25k, as it moves so quickly and is shorter with its 6 week duration.
And as most plans, although it indicates a 5k race at the end, I’ll be interpretative that as a 30-min run.
But I liked the look of it and this morning was very doable.
Even though it rained, I had a lot of fun talking to myself, walking and running to medieval covers of popular songs. Yeah, I know! Weird, right? But lots of fun! (Will drop a playlist soon)
Somehow hearing the mediaeval instruments play very recognisable pop tunes feels like a constant joyful joke and made me chuckle my way though the jeffing session of 2 min run / 4 min walk ( times five).
happy running.

Yeah, I think it’s a great one for “returners”, possibly too fast a ramp for total beginners. But for people who are fit, come from a different fitness regime, return from a short illness (3-5 weeks?), I think it’s perfect.
I programmed the intervals in to Runkeeper (and also am audio-recording my sessions for future returns to this plan), so this helps keep track of intervals.
