6-Week RW Plan: On to week 2!!!!

I am slowly progressing through my Runner’s World plan. Very slow as I am taking 2-3 recovery days between runs at the moment. Not too much to loose fitness but just enough to keep a few aches and niggles at bay.

It was cloudy today, the sun only appearing once I was back in our courtyard!

But it feels so good to have had a run!

Happy running everyone!

Very sensible to take it slowly when you are recovering. This is the best way forward. Soon you'll be taking those longer runs in your stride again and by then the weather should be better :)

Nicer weather … oh yeah, running through the spring season sounds good!

What are your thoughts on the last week, where it expects you to be running and walking for 30 minutes…then do a 5k race!?!

…or have I missed something…🤷🏻‍♀️

LOL.

I do think this plan ramps up a bit too fast for total beginners, but my thinking is that for repeaters it should be fine. And if course it assumes (as many plans) one’s 30 minutes gets you close to 5k! 🤣🤣

I do ignore the last “5k Race” and replace it with a 30 min run.

I guess it has a bit of a taper via the penultimate run, but yes, it’s pretty intense one due to short 6-week duration. I’ll let you know how it feels! 🤣🤣

I’ll await your report!

…says she who is finally thinking about running 5k in the Group10k Plan, as she’s reached W4 😂🏃🏻‍♀️🐌
