15 minute run, incorporated into a run 1 week 1 C25k for my granddaughter. We had a little sit on a bench half way round when she said, "I didn't realise how unfit I am" It was nice to be out together though even if the first few run parts were really fast for me, her legs are about double the length of mine and at 20yrs old I think she was a bit surprised she can't out run me π€£
As we did the cool down walk she was happily chatting about needing to buy some running clothes, I was a bit surprised this morning when she turned up in a jumper, leggings and shorts but she's finding it a bit chilly here after 9 months in the far East.
It's fun to run with her, I'm hoping she'll want to keep going now she's started.
Run happy or rest well

Sh can bear me on speed, I glanced at my watch at one point and it showed 5.50mpk I couldn't keep that up for long, but she has little stamina, I hope she keeps it up, I reckon if I can get her to week 5 shell be hooked
So nice to do that run with your granddaughter! I did mine last night in the cool, although itβs chilly and overcast here today so I turns out I could have gone this morning! Those 15 minute runs are such nice starts to the week. Have a good one!
It didn't feel like much if a run, stop start, sit on bench, start stop π the whole plan and progress has now disappeared on NRC too so I'm a bit fed up , I can't be bothered to do it again
You can activate the next week and carry on on the NRC plan. Just ignore week 1 if it marked as not completed. You could go back and do them another time if you want or not at all. Those red ticks are very satisfying though π
Lovely to run with your granddaughter. Yes it will be good to keep her interested and she can you go out with you. Itβs good to see daffodils going back and now summer come along.
Thatβs excellent too ooo have your granddaughter to run with! Yes she would feel cold in the Uk after being out there Mum is the same when she comes to the Uk!
A few weeks ago all three generations took part in a road run series! Son in law 10miles Me 2-5 and my grandson in this 1st race 400mβs he had just turned 2 π
I remember running with my son in Cornwall a couple of years ago. He was 28 with long legs and ran faster than me, but he couldn't finish running up the steep field towards the end!
What a perfect run Sola; wishing you many repeats. You will have surprised her in a nice way. Runs that like are a lovely back drop to a chats which may otherwise not happen. π
π . Our fit youngest fancied a run with me pre lockdown. I decided on a 5k on my hilliest section, just so he didnβt have to back off pace too much to stay with me. It worked really well and we chatted all the way; the next day he went out and ran the same route x2 on his own in a ridiculously quick time π. Lads and Dads π
Typical, so great to run with a son. it's been a bit of a circle for me, I have 4 grands, when they were 2,3,4 &. 5 I used to take them to the park and we'd run across the grass to the swings, me running slowly, careful none of them came last, over time I had to run faster and faster just to keep up, now they are 20,20,19 & 18 they could probably all beat me on a sprint but none can keep up after the first few metres.
How lovely for you to have your granddaughter to run with, Iβm sure your enthusiasm will encourage her through C25K , after which thereβll be no stopping either of you!
