Having slept in a house last night, rather than on a boat, there was no excuse not to run this morning so off we went.
By now we have our 3k route down pat: down a slope, then up a noticeable gradient, then almost level, then down a bit, turn and do it in reverse. Quite a change from the flatlands of Essex but I tell myself that hills are our friends and I take it slowly.
We managed to get out before the sun was above the hill behind the house so it was relatively cool and most of our route was in shade, helped by the trees along the way. The sea sparkled, the cars were few, and at the end we jumped into the water with me still in my running gear (minus shoes, socks and vest and of course phone lol).
What a life
