I did a little 15 minute run this morning, walked to beach and ran along the prom, it was the first run of the NRC HM plan, I'll see how it goes. I ran easy for 10 minutes, back 5 and then went onto the beach and paddled back to my starting point, I think walking barefoot across the sand then back up the slopes were harder than the run π across the grass, put my shoes back on and walked home. There were 2 ladies swimming and I really had to battle with myself not to join them, I think I'm past stripping off and swimming in my underwear π²ππ²,
Run happy or rest well everyone.

Ah, yes! I love windy weather by the sea - only time I do! But running with a gale behind wouldn't be great ... and the return journey would be a challenge.
I never thought about being arrested... Just running along thinking were they matching? πππ, there was one embarrassing time I met up with a guy, he took me to a beach, couldn't resist...in I went, he took photos and it was only when I saw them I realised my undies weren't matching and didn't look like a bikini at all π²
Well that looks great and I love that you even thought about going in the water in your underwear! LOL My worst trick was swimming in an actual bikini - peach coloured. When I got out of the water my sister threw a towel at me. The damned things were completely see through when wet. It was a hotel pool as well. π«£
Ha ha ha, yes white undies have been known to do the same! Friends have been shocked in past years when I've said, come on let's swim, it's a bit of a compulsion with me and the sea π
Sounds like a fabulous run, what a place you live in!
When I was staying in Brighton I'd swim in my running gear, well, the shorts and bra top. Wonderful. Not so great on the walk home though, a bit too clingy π
I've swum in running gear, and I've been in the sea in my shoes too as couldn't cope with the stones, but today I did want to get home dry, tomorrow may be a different matter π
Those 15 minute runs are brilliant and you had a super one!! Love that photo too! π
I got out for a thirty minute run at a stupid time of day with much less shade that I thought. Iβd have given anything to have joined you in paddling!! I hope you get out for a swim sometime β€οΈ
Sounds great fun Sue. I wonder if there is a local sea swimming group as there is here - Iβm in the group although I havenβt actually been in the sea this year, but the membership numbers well over a hundred here.. my friend Liz moved to Wales and made lots of new friends when she joined a Blue Tits seaswim group - I think they have groups all over the UK.. I wonder if there is one near you?
Fabulous Sue! I hadn't realised you'd moved as I haven't been reading the forum so much lately. Looks lovely. Congratulations on taking the next step on your journey and as ever, such energy and positivity. And hey, we are never too old to strip off to our underwear, though might frighten some of the locals π€ͺ!! You'll have to wear a cossie under your running kit so you can strip off appropriately π.
