Bath is beautiful and it was a perfect day for a run, I only had a thin long sleeved black top with me and realised it wouldn't be warm enough so rummaged through our clothes, we were only away one night so there wasn't much, but I found a pale grey thermal long sleeved vest which Willow said I could wear of his, I must say it looked quite fetching. Over the bridge and found the canal path, set off a 35 minute run, any longer and I'd miss breakfast, at first it was flat then I had to go back up to the road, up and up then down and down, underneath a bridge then over another, down and down to a dead end, a track went across the field but I'd completely lost the river/canal!!
Turned and ran back, stayed on the hotel side of the river and kept going, much flatter. 35 slow minutes done, stopped and took photos, primroses, catkins, grey it might be but lovely still the same.
Breakfast pack and off to the spa.
Infa red room was wonderful and cosmic room beautiful, neither were there when we went last, before the pandemic. The roof pool is still my favourite though, looking across Bath and lazing in warm water.
Home, 3 plus hour drive, sandwiches eaten on way, what a wonderful couple of days, 10 years together and under 8 weeks to retirement, lucky us.
Run happy all

What a wonderful run for a wonderful trip away. Congratulations on the 10 year anniversary. Woohoo! Only 8 weeks to go. Then there's no excuse for not doing that HM!
I think that long sleeved thermal vest might find its way into my drawer permanently 😁
It's a bit bigger than mine so makes me look less round 🤣I have so many plans, I was explaining to Willow ihave to start on day one, otherwise I might not get started
Bath is beautiful and a riverside run before breakfast was a great way to start the day. Congratulations on your anniversary! Lazing in a warm roof pool overlooking Bath sounds idyllic!
Hi Sola, I’m close to Bath - you should have waved! 👋
Don’t worry, the Bath Half isn’t hilly so you can add it back to your bucket list. The new course they’re using does have one cheeky hill at the finish which didn’t go down too well apparently, but the rest of it is fine.
It’s a lovely city isn’t it? I’m glad you enjoyed your run - perfect for your anniversary! Congratulations. 😍
I'd have waved if I'd had a hand free, I was too busy taking photos 😂 yes it is beautiful, a real treat, it's beautiful where we live too but different. Thank you
That’s a great run. I’m sure I’ve stood at the same spot and take that photo-it looks beautiful in the early morning light.
Bath is one of my favourite places and I’m glad it was kind to you with all it has to offer. I haven’t been to the spa since pre pandemic. I think a visit is in order.
Thank you, and if you go that restaurant had the best dinner, we'd been snacking on the journey up so weren't even that hungry but so enjoyed it, good prices too. We'd been pre pandemic too, it's just over 3 hours from us so the overnight stay made it less of a rush, next time we'll do it the other way round, drive up, have the twilight package, sleep, run, explore and drive home again, after a run and spa we were shattered by the time we got home.
I'm a little achey but I think that's the kettle bell 🤣
No that was the restaurant over the bridge where we went for dinner, best dinner out we've had in forever, here's the view from the hotel, the waterwheel was going round, the sky was a bit grey but it was lovely
Congratulations to you both on your 10 year anniversary and what a beautiful way to spend it. Great post and the thought of that spa and roof top pool sounds idyllic.
🎶eight weeks to go eight weeks to go ee i ad ee oh eight weeks to go🎶 😂😂
