morning run

Good morning everyone! Continuing with the magic plan my run was 44 minutes today. We did an extended beach route as it was such nice conditions.

Fully paid up member of the tomato ten as you can see! This was Ebony’s post run stretch - ie watching me from the comfort of her chair!

Unfortunately, I’ve noticed a niggle in my right Achilles, so it might be the IC for a bit - gutted as this was my longest run to date but I don’t want to aggravate it - RICE for a bit and I’ll see how it goes - any tips welcomed!

You could try standing on a step and do heel raises and dips. As it all strengthens, in time, you can progress to single leg raises and dips. It worked for me. You're doing amazingly well, keep at it.

Thanks Sax I’ll try that - so annoying as I’ve never really had any injuries and I’ve been scrupulous with stretches to prevent them - but all part of the experience. Hopefully it will ease up soon 🤞🏼

Well done SweatyHettie you are doing fab. I love the photo especially Ebony she is so glamorous 😂😂. You look very happy too.

Take care with your Achilles. The exercises mentioned will help I’m sure and maybe advice from a professional such as a physio for advice and other exercises that they would advise too just to make sure. Take care🙋‍♀️x

Thanks Folkylass haha I’ve never thought as Ebony as glamorous, she will love that!🤣

I’m going to have to amend my June quest now but I will take the opportunity to replace the runs with more strength and flex until my Achilles improves and I’ll definitely look at physio too . I’ll still get plenty of walks in, Ebony will see to that!
