What a glorious morning. Up early to walk our Labrador as he doesn't realise it's the weekend π
I'm following a training plan set by the leader of a running group I've joined. I had a 50 mins run to fit in and didn't think I could fit it in before Monday and I have a fun packed weekend planned!
Anyway, back to the running. Changed into running gear and did a warm up (although I had already walked for 30 mins). Set music and tracker to give me cues at 10 mins intervals and off I set.
Normally I see lots of people out running near home but it's seems I'm the only one out at 6.30 today.
Decided to run my old route along the flat to start. This was to be a steady run so settled into an easy pace. Got to the furthest street I can without running out of path, reversed route and headed off to the disused railway track. Love this one as it's a lovely surface to run on when it's dry.
The may blossom is out and looks beautiful. We're so lucky to have the countryside on our doorstep.
Squirrels were also out this morning and a couple of dog walkers appeared. One asked if I was running the marathon tomorrow. I think she was serious π
Slightly misjudged my route as bit quicker than I thought I would be so hit the hill at 40 mins so gave it a go trying the scissor method. Almost made it except for about 20 seconds of walking.
All in all a great run and covered 4.8 miles in 50 mins. I'm doing my 10k charity run in a couple of weeks so very happy with that.
Happy running everyone and good luck to all those running in the marathon tomorrow πββοΈππ
