morning run

The weather is being kind to me so far this week. A sunny morning with a gentle breeze. The plan run was 39 mins. I found a lovely 40 min run with Coach B alongside and off we went. I wish I could show you a video of how excited Ebony was when I mentioned the R word this morning- pure joy!

We revisited a favourite inland 5K route today because I wasn’t convinced about the breeze at the beach. Some of the tracks are getting a bit unruly as you can see from the pic -all this rain has certainly made things grow!

So an extra minute because I couldn’t abandon Coach B before the end which was in fact a complete door to door run. Stretches for 10 mins with Ebony being my personal sweat towel 🙄she sits on the mat next to me and apparently the sweat pouring down my face is tasty! 🤢

From now on in I think the long runs will start to be longer than I have previously done. Anxious is too strong a word for it - but maybe slight trepidation - and anyway Coach B keeps reminding me to be in the moment and not fast forward so I’m just going to take each one as it comes.

Looks like a lovely path for your and your canine companion. I enjoyed CB's 40 minute run last week, too.

I really appreciate his advice to go slow at the start and viewing the start as a finish-line for all of the other runs you've done up to that point!

Best of luck on your upcoming longer runs. Look forward to hearing your experiences as I've just started the 10K training yesterday with a recovery run.

Yes that point really resonated with me too!

Good luck with your recovery plan!

Lovely run and lovely location. CB bailed on me this morning... he guessed I need alone time. I think !

Oh no! I downloaded coach B to make sure he didn’t abandon me but I still think the tracking is a bit off at times .

Trust the training, your body will be fine. Don't overthink it and take it slow. As Coach B often says, 'you are a rock star!'

What a lovely green photo, everywhere is lush at the moment and a great run too, don't be at all anxious about longer runs, coach B has a podcast all about them which might help, on Spotify and iTunes I believe
