Morning run with Hector!!

Instead of my daughter’s company this morning I had Storm Hector!! I decided to go rather reluctantly as I’m back at work tomorrow for the weekend 🙁

It wasn’t too bad when I set off! I checked tides and thought I’d do salt marsh / beach run. Takes about 15 mins to get to coast and I had a rough route in mind which I can extend if I feel like it.

Lots of small branches down and leaves everywhere! I must admit I was a wee bit scared running through the wooded bit! Didn’t manage to get pelted by pine cones but there were loads on the ground! I was being extra careful not to fall over this week!

When I got to salt marsh the wind was behind me and I really did think I was going to blow off my feet!! I must have looked like a cartoon character!! Legs going so fast!!! Not a soul about!!

The beach was amazing today! Quite a sand storm! I got exfoliated!! But it didn’t sting too much! The rest of the run was hard going uphill into the wind but I did enjoy the elements today! 😀🏃‍♀️🌬

Wow beautiful scenery! Sounds like a brilliant run but have to admit if I were going uphill into this wind I would be crying!!!

I ran with Hector at about 9 last night, it was pretty hair-raising even then so you were pretty brave to go out in it this morning, especially somewhere so beautiful but exposed! I had to jump over all sorts of bits of tree, and things kept flying at me...except my hat which kept flying in the opposite direction. I didn't go as fast as I'd like but I reckon there must be some sort of additional percentage correction we can apply to storm running?! 🤔

It’s funny, usually I faff about with my cordless earphones falling out but today they seemed firmly wedged into my ears! I was quite sensible avoiding the cliff top route I could have done! 😀

Lovely scenery, sometimes a run in interesting weather can be so exhilarating. Glad you didn’t fall.

It definitely made it more interesting! Ha ha! I almost got blown off my feet at one point! I was having to jump over large puddles on the salt marshes too so I might have got a bit wet!!!😀

What a gorgeous place to run! Running in wind is not my favourite but seems like I've been doing a lot of it this spring! Glad you got out and managed to keep on your feet.

It’s beautiful here! I’m so lucky to have such a choice of nice routes!! Makes it another thing to have to decide though!! 😀
