Well out I went this morning just for a small run. My intention is to do two small runs and a longer run on Sunday.
After having a lovely chat to a neighbour( all about running and each other’s experiences I might add )on my warm up walk we said our goodbyes and I headed off for my run. Well it was ok but it wasn’t anything special. The the heavens blessed me with rain and not having a waterproof on and only shorts and t-shirt I didn’t stay out very long which wasn’t my intention. I had anticipated going a bit further but it was just hopeless …I was just getting more and more wet , it was hopeless so I turned around and headed home straight into the shower then a beautiful mug of hot chocolate😋…wonderful!

Nice run for you today despite the rain Folkylass, although you don't seemed too bothered about that, for my midweek run today, it was 5K, my 180th (not) parkrun which was run in brilliant sunshine with hardly any clouds in the sky, my time was 34:17 which is the exact same as my 2nd parkrun almost 5 years ago, enjoy the rest of the day 😊 ✔️
Those nothing special runs are underrated! They’re what mean we feel like we’re running consistently and that makes such a difference. We should celebrate the unspectacular! If we added up all the ordinary miles over a year, I bet it would be masses. Congratulations on a special nothing special run!!! Hope you’ve dried out!
Nice one and wet too! Go you! I went out late for me and did an even shorter than you , run! I was dry though and in sunshine...yes, sunshine..it was still cold though.
Hope you got dry and warm quickly... well done you!
Thanks Oldfloss yes I’m dried out very well now. Once I got back home I had a shower then sat down with a lovely mug of hot chocolate which was a welcome reward😋so happy that at least one of us got sunshine. How ever the sun here is glorious now ? 🥰xx
