So , I was still in bed this morning and noticed on Strava that Jools2020 had already completed her run (I'm impressed Julia) π³
It was actually my intention to run today as I had a day off but I was going to run guided by temperature rather than time π€£π
So out of the door around 10:20 in shorts and long sleeve running top as it was still a bit chilly on my warm up walk
Following my sequence of runs this one was due to be a longer run , the last 2 were 5K then 3K so this was to be a minimum of 10K.
The run started well, I felt really comfortable and was enjoying the weather and my music 'Jethro Tull' π
I deliberately kept the pace low as I wanted to do a longer run , I had just not decided how long !!
I felt at a comfortable temperature at around 1K
I was on my usual route and added a few little detours in as I usually do if I'm extending my run , unfortunately I cannot avoid all the inclines and a couple of them are run more than once ! Ahh well just do it ! π€£
The first 5K went absolutely fine and was enjoyable as were the next 2 to 3K
I then noticed I was stiffening up a bit so started to pay more attention to my form, no real aches , and no pains so no real problem but it made me decide not to go on past the 10K , I had considered 12 or 13 as 12K has been my previous longest run , although some time ago now !
Anyway reached 10K and decided to call it a day , I will not push it !
All in all an enjoyable run and happy to be doing regular 10K's again .
I will go further when I'm ready π
The cow in my picture seemed completely unimpressed with my run , as was Mr Garmin. π€£
The building with the flag is a turning point on one of my little detours π
So my next run will be either a 5K or around 3, not sure which yet π
Happy running ! ππ
