NRC 10k plan Run 4: dodgy stats

As forecast the weather was sunny this morning but very cold. The wind was supposedly east north easterly but from the way it felt, a headwind in every direction of my E-W route I suspect it was east north westerly ;)

A lovely gentle guided NRC run with Coach B, 'Best Run Ever', 20 minutes of reflecting on all the ways a run can be the best run. I realised that one of the best runs I ever did was Week 1 Run 1 of C25K. If you'd asked me at the time I'd have said it was one of the worst but if I hadn't done that one I wouldn't be writing this today and I would have missed out on SO much.

When I got home and looked at my stats there is something very wrong with the graph showing pace on the NRC app. It tells me I was only doing 14-15 mins/km for nearly half the run, but it also says my average pace was 8'49". With a maximum pace of 7'23" there's obviously a disconnect between the numbers actually recorded for pace and the graph. I wonder what's going on?

Apart from this glitch it was a lovely little run, not too strenuous. I'm pacing myself as I'm going out this evening so will be having a long dark drive home along the icy country roads later.

That was a good RUN for you today Yesletsgo, 14/15m/km is a leisurely walk, there must be a mistake on the app, apart from that glitch, well done πŸ˜€ βœ”οΈπŸ‘

Thanks, glad I'm not all that hung up on numbers. To get an average of 8'49" I'd need to have run the rest like Usain Bolt πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

East north westerly .... Yup that's about it, it's freezing out there, I've done housework and shopping today...in preparation....am I getting a bit boring about tomorrow? It'll soon be over.Funny old thing some app stats, just don't add up, but you did good and that's what's important 😁

I had this on a speed run once. Apparently I was sprinting at a pace of 15 minutes per km. I was so annoyed.

This one was glitchy for me too. It recorded a distance of 1km less than my garmin. I did a sneaky top up in the app!

Great run though. This plan is so much more fun having buddies doing to too!

15 minutes per km? The other day it gave me 3 minutes/km. In my dreams πŸ˜‚

I think I'd have noticed that somehow.
