I decided that it would be best to go right back to the beginning with the nrc 10k plan after nearly three weeks off and the worst flu/cold I've had in years. So I did the 14 minutes run with coach Bennett at such a slow and gentle pace I could have been walking. In fact it was so slow that garmin didn't even pick it up as a run but recorded it as simply cardio which made me smile! But I did it. It felt OK and today the sun is shining! I've had enough of grey and rain and murk. Bring on spring!

Pleased to read you’re back up and running after your flu/cold. I had the worst cold I’ve ever had this winter and it set me back for two weeks. Getting back into it slowly is the key. Looks pretty where you are in the photo. Where is this?
We are in the Vale of Clwyd in North East Wales. It's glorious and not very much visited. Not sure why my photo is on its side though! Yes I'm sure you are right and that is important to get back slowly. Since I'm slow at the best of times this morning was glacial!
The Vale of Clwyd looks lovely and we will certainly add it to our ‘must go’ list. We had a lovely trip to Wales last autumn enjoying the Gower peninsular, Pembrokeshire, then north to Dolgellau and across to Blaenau Ffestiniog before heading home to York. Made lots of notes of where to go next and had some great runs while there.
Would really recommend it round here. Llanbenwch campsite is a lovely one run by really nice people! Lots of people go to snowdonia (eryri) then which is very beautiful but can get busy in the most popular places. The lleyn peninsula is also really worth visiting!
That cold that did the rounds this winter lingered didn't it? Sun is shining here too and I saw daffodils and crocuses on my run. Glad you are back out.
Yes, I know a number of people who were really floored by a cold this winter. Still every daffodil or crocus means spring is round the corner!
There have been so many miserable colds around. So glad you’re recovered and back again. Taking it steady is such a good plan. Enjoy!
The first week is great, so gentle you'll be raring to go by week 2 😁
Great stuff! Taking it gently after a rough three weeks... sensible and what a glorious day to do it ! x
A great run/walk!🤣
Looks like you collapsed at the end! 🫣
Yes I did fade a bit! Still, back on it now which is good!!
