Morning runners! I hope this fine Tuesday afternoon finds you all well 👍🏻
I decided on a few days break from running and managed 3, it was a little too easy to sink back into doing nothing! Strangely the urge to run...which I normally wake up with everyday didn't return and I think if I'd sat doing nothing for another week I'd have probably returned to the bad old days fitness wise!
This morning I decided to put my kit on and get out for a 5k... It felt rough! Like I'd dropped back to middle of c25k rough! Couldn't breathe correctly, legs were heavy and tired and I was basically shot after 4km though I did complete the 5km as I'm a stubborn northerner 🤣 the time was actually pretty quick, like under 29 mins quick and would have been really fast if I could have kept up any sort of pace in the last KM.
Was it hard? Yes very! Did I enjoy it? No, apart from the lovely sky and birds singing (ran naked), it was a chore! Am I glad I did it? Absolutely! I'm hoping that this bad phase dosnt last long and things start feeling easier again soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻
