Morning runners! I hope this fine Tuesday afternoon finds you all well πŸ‘πŸ»

I decided on a few days break from running and managed 3, it was a little too easy to sink back into doing nothing! Strangely the urge to run...which I normally wake up with everyday didn't return and I think if I'd sat doing nothing for another week I'd have probably returned to the bad old days fitness wise!

This morning I decided to put my kit on and get out for a 5k... It felt rough! Like I'd dropped back to middle of c25k rough! Couldn't breathe correctly, legs were heavy and tired and I was basically shot after 4km though I did complete the 5km as I'm a stubborn northerner 🀣 the time was actually pretty quick, like under 29 mins quick and would have been really fast if I could have kept up any sort of pace in the last KM.

Was it hard? Yes very! Did I enjoy it? No, apart from the lovely sky and birds singing (ran naked), it was a chore! Am I glad I did it? Absolutely! I'm hoping that this bad phase dosnt last long and things start feeling easier again soon 🀞🏻🀞🏻

Hope everybody is having a bit of a better time of it! 😁

-You did well to push through to the end when it felt so tough- I’ve had a lot of those lately- I can never understand why those supposed short runs are real killers sometimes when you know you can run double that easily-normal service will resume on the next run I would think

Well on on getting back out; on being stubborn; and on getting through the tough bits. You’ll soon be back into your groove - just need to oil those cogs! The sky is so amazing - almost a sci-fi apocalypse.

Good for you sticking to a proper few days of rest, I’m sure your body will thank you for that. Ah you being a stubborn northerner stands you in good stead for these moments all right 🀣🀣 Short slog runs come out of nowhere sometimes and they are buggers but well done for sticking with it and getting a very respectable time too!! Also, that’s a beautiful sky and worth being out for so double win πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Well done on finishing a tough one! All of mine seem to have been like that recently - I think someone has slipped lead insoles into my shoes.
