Thank you to everyone who suggested this site . Ages ago I signed up to 10K race for life on 22nd July, it seemed a good idea at the time
I used NRC guided run for 10k. I did alternate walk and run just to ensure I could complete the distance. I have done the easy run and second run and will work my way through all the guided runs, without walking, but I just needed to check I could do the distance. I now have a benchmark time so things can only get better and the time shorter. Plus I know I can do the race.

Well done. Sounds like we might have a new NRC convert The NRC coaching is superb. I wish I'd had coaching like NRC when I completed C25K back in 2014. I think I would have enjoyed my running a lot more and avoided injury.
You sound like you have a good plan of action to get you to where you want to be. Having that 10k event has kept you going - well done so far you’re doing so well and good luck for the race - I look forward to reading your post reporting the event 🏃🏽♀️🏅😊
