40 min recovery

It's still very warm. My neighbour is starting C25K week three this morning so I decided on a 40 min recovery run. To the river we go πŸ˜ƒ.

And off. My run is Running towards your goals. I'm trying to keep to a steady pace without much effort. I pass her when she walks, she passes me when she runs, we aren't far apart, we both turn at 20 minutes and on the home stretch.

It's warm but cloudy, the river is grey, it's a lovely run but I think I could have skipped yesterday's gardening and 5k walk, my legs are wondering what I'm up to.

The first kilometre was steady, the second faster, the third steady and the fourth slower.

Time to return home, both happy and grinning. Day off tomorrow, I might not even get out of bed, in the last 7 days I've run 25k and walked 7.9k, more than usual.

Run happy or rest well, but whatever you do be proud.

Thanks Jools. My legs are asking for at least one day off, my head's saying can we go and do it again, such conflict 🀣

🀣 Maybe leave it a few days before another 10 miler!

Or months 🀣 I think I'm going to concentrate on shorter evenly paced runs for a while .

you might change your mind! That high when you’ve done a long run is difficult to beat!

That's true, my next runs on the plan are speed ones, it's consistency I'm aiming for

You certainly have ran and walked a lot over the last week Sue, you deserve a little break, I doubt with the healthy lifestyle you have I don't think that you would want to stay in bed all day, perhaps at least a 1K short walk, good luck to your neighbour on starting week 3.

She's very keen Al, I'll rest and read and do housework, but staying in bed all day is tempting

Great run! It’s still so warm. Makes it tough. That run is one of my favourites. I was supposed to be doing it today but I’d forgotten to download it which is a beginner’s error given there’s no signal round here. Very envious you got to run with Coach B and Andy P!

aww 😍 it is still warm here but possibly raining tomorrow when we go out again. I've been ch cling stats and have run 67.4k this month! No wonder my legs ached. 🀣.I once set up a NRC 10krun, got to the river, re opened the app not realising it went back to Quick start, in the sunshine tapped where I thought start was, and spent the whole run wondering why no one said anything 😁.

I learned I can't set it up at home and expect it to be there when I want it,

As my legs ached this week I thought I'd do the first week runs that don't show as being done, I've pushed it somewhat in June

Wow!! That’s a lot of distance! I’d noticed you’d been clocking up the miles but didn’t realised you’d got that many. Go you!! Maybe some well earned recovery is in order? I always find when I’m doing any plan building distance that I need a cutback week every few weeks to stop me getting tired out! Find what works best for you though ❀️

I've gone off plan too many times this month, a 10k a 13k and a 16k maybe a bit much for my little legs, I'll see what tomorrow brings πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
