When I set off this morning it was noticeably cooler and very damp after the pouring rain last night. For a change and to stop me being distracted by the view (and blackberries π) I'd decided to run a different route through a housing estate in the next village.
I honestly can't remember much about the run apart from stopping once to decide which way to go and another time when my earbuds decided to disconnect all on their own π‘ I was listening to a Women's Running podcast and it's the reason I can't really remember the run, it kept me thoroughly entertained for all of my 40 minutes π π
Last 5 minutes back on the rail track heading home when I was confronted by this fallen tree, it's was a good job it was there as it made me stop at 41 minutes, otherwise I'd have been tempted keep running π Pleased to see I'd managed 5k seems ages since I've done that.
Happy running πββοΈπββοΈπ

It's a series from the Women's Running Magazine every fortnight whete they interview a woman connected with running. I've only listened to the first one but it's was an interview with Anna McNuff. I read one of her books at the start of lockdown about running along the length of New Zealand. It's very chatty with laughs and quite inspiring as well. Hope you find something to keep your mind occupied π
That sounded like a lovely run and a decent 5k into the bargain! That tree down looks impressive - there must have been some strong winds to take that out.
I've never listened to podcasts- its always music with me. Is the Women's Running one from the magazinevwebsite if that name? Might try something like that for a change.
Have too admit the photo makes the tree look far bigger than it really was but it had been really blowing a gale here yesterday . Yes the podcast is from the same people as the magazine. I think they must be a new thing for them as there are only half a dozen episodes so far.
Super time for your 5k! A rather dramatic photo though! Hope that tree didnβt destroy any blackberries on its way down π±.
Yay well done! That's a amazing 5k time! βΊππ you know, I thought of you the other day while walking the dogs - I went to check the brambles, see if I could pick any blackberries for a crumble. There were loads of yummy looking berries but this massive rat was on top the bush having a good munch! π£
Yes, me neither, tried running with music for the first time last week and it was a revelation, no room in my head for βshouldsβ and βhurumphsβ, felt like I was running in a movie instead π€£
