In an update to my recent post I can report I managed a 5k today. I won't say it was easy, in fact the last 1k was quite tough going but job done ππ I consciously tried to slow my pace down but I seem always revert to about 6.5 per k, average heart was a bit higher than my normal at 138bpm but overall I was quite pleased to be able get back to a reasonable distance π Have a good running weekend everybody πββοΈπββοΈπ

Well done , that will be a huge phycological boost .I would still be prepared to do some shorter runs as well though !
Mix them up a bit .
And sometimes running slower can be quite difficult.
I was never a quick runner but I remember it took me quite some time to slow my runs down a bit .
Consciously shortening my stride length and increasing my cadence but it certainly made a difference to my longer runs .
