First parkrun since hurting my foot 3 weeks ago and I returned to the scene at Doddington Hall! 29.42 (only 15 seconds slower than last time when I was shooting for a PB) and 2nd in my age group out of 13. Woohoo! Oh yes, and another 5k for team HU. Go us ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป

Congratulations on that sub 30 minute 5k at parkrun this morning and your contribution to the Vitality Running World Cup which I am also taking part in with the HU team, I wasn't at a parkrun today but ran a 6K around a off road route near to where I live.

Thanks Al. Only a week to my half marathon. Eek ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Well done on your off road run - not something Iโ€™ve done much of. Perhaps I should add it to the list for when itโ€™s hopefully drier later in the year ๐Ÿค”

I know plenty of unclassified roads near to where I live, only a 10 minute walk away from the countryside where I do a lot of cycling, however, since I have started running within the last two years I prefer to run off road, even on quite roads there are still cars that could bump into a runner.

Good luck for your HM next week.

Great run and fantastic time - I'm nowhere near those times and going slower with hills. Well done on new PB happy running ๐Ÿค—

Donโ€™t worry, I donโ€™t go anywhere that fast on hills either!

Feels like that would be a big change in a short period ๐Ÿคž

It would, but it does feel as though the world is going mad ๐Ÿคช

Indeed - where did that one come from? Unless people are using toilet paper instead of tissues ๐Ÿ˜‚

Well done Sandie1961, sounds like a great run this morning and very speedy! Glad to hear your foot is good to go for your HM. Is it a nice route somewhere scenic?

Sandie1961 profile image
Sandie1961Graduate10 in reply to Debston

Itโ€™s Hampton Court Palace - starts in front of the palace, runs along the Thames and finishes in the Palace gardens. Should be lovely!

Debston profile image

That sounds like a wonderful route. Hope the weather is good for you!

So do I! And that it doesnโ€™t get cancelled because of Coronavirus

Wow well done Sandie thatโ€™s great to hear and a fantastic time.

That foot hasnโ€™t held you back Sandie. Your body probably just enjoyed the rest for a week or so.

It will be about 6 weeks for me.

Oh dear, thatโ€™s a long time. Sounds like Southampton is in doubt for running?

Sandie the Superwoman back in action again! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Iโ€™m so glad your foot is behaving, and it sounds like the timing is just right for your HM next week

Like you, I have a week to go to mine. Bath is still on at the moment, weโ€™re keeping everything tightly crossed. Yikes, itโ€™s getting very very real isnโ€™t it? ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹
