Blue sky, sunshine, a gentle cooling breeze and a campsite across the road from the sea. That, coupled with a nice flat, traffic-free promenade that stretches for miles meant it was perfect for a run, to the background of the incoming tide crashing on the rocks. After nearly 20000 steps yesterday walking up and down the hills of Porto my legs felt a bit heavy so I took it steady with several photo stops! I forgot my inhaler, but, hurrah, no coughing. Fingers crossed I have recovered from whatever it was 🤞🤞Not sure when my next run will be as we will be moving each day after today starting to head back to reach home just before Easter. Happy running everyone 🏃♀️🏃🏻♂️

All of that ozone will keep your lungs clear Sandie. My new inhaler is working brilliantly too. A couple of doses last thing at night and the same on waking; it is keeping my peak flow at the top of my range all day.🤞it keeps doing that! It makes a big difference.
So pleased to hear it’s working for you BC. I’ve never needed one before and am hoping I can now ditch it, but will wait to see how the gloomy English weather affects me!
Chronic condition for me; had it for years. This combined bronchodilator and steroid has been really good from day 1. I hate taking stuff too…but sometimes you just have to.
Yes, we’re in a camper. Set off on 6th March and have come via Tours, Bergerac, Pamplona, Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Seville, Evora, Cascais (for Lisbon and Sinatra). Fabulous trip 😃
That's sounds fantastic. Beautiful places and what a choice of run locations. I was in Cascais last October, supporting my son who does Ironman. Beautiful place , with a great choice of restaurants.
You have your beloved Welsh retreat though, but perhaps the weather is a little more clement here 😂 I am hoping the inhaler can be consigned to history - never had one until 2 months ago and I don’t seem to have suffered any ill effects from not using it the last 2 runs 🤞🏻🤞🏻
You should. It’s lovely. Sadly our last full day before we go back into Spain and start the journey north. Numerous pastel de nata consumed and they were delicious 😋
We didn’t go to the Algarve this time, as we’d been several times but never been north of Lisbon. The coast between there and Porto is stunning (but probably wouldn’t go swimming as the waves are huge)!
Looks fabulous! We are just beginning our slow move north across Spain. Didn't make Portugal but maybe another year! We are in a camper too. Just love the freedom it gives you! Happy running 🏃♀️ x
