I’ve not been running for various reasons but mainly because I’ve had a terrible cough. I visited a dr who said he thought I had a chest infection but he didn’t think I need antibiotics. So off I went on holiday thinking I’ll be better when I can relax. I even took my running stuff just in case🤞🤣. However as the temperature went up to 33 degrees I decided that it was just too hot to try a run ☹️ So I relaxed and started to feel better in myself but was still coughing. I was managing to walk about 3 miles most days so did feel I would be able to complete a run if I could stop coughing. Today having returned from holiday I’m still coughing so I emailed a dr who has sent me some antibiotics 🤔🤔. This is 9 weeks after I first started coughing so hopefully 🤞🤞🤞I might stop coughing in the near future and then I might be able to run again.
Enjoy your runs everyone and hopefully I’ll be back out there running again soon

So sorry to hear this Scruff and hope that the antibiotics get to work quickly 🤞. Good on you for doing those long walks and keeping yourself moving, I’m sure it’ll have helped.
Yes I know others are worse off than me so now I just have to wait for the week of antibiotics to work their magic🤞And then I can start at the beginning again 🤣🏃♀️🤣🏃♀️
Not wishing to be alarmist Scruff55 but NHS advice is to see a doctor if your cough persists more than 3 weeks. Hope you feel better soon nhs.uk/conditions/cough/#:~...
You’ve had such a tough time-sending buckets of sympathy your way. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery. Hopefully the antibiotics will work a treat and finally see off that cough ❤️
Thank you so much for the sympathy which is much appreciated just wishing the next week to go fast so I can stop coughing and get back out for a little slow run 🤣🤣
