It's Happyhays special run today, Week 5 Run 3. So even though the rain drizzled down and the wind blew off we went. We chose the river so we could run next to each other and chat. The river was high, we crossed the bridge doing the 5 minute warm up walk, started a slow gentle run, I glanced at my watch and realised I couldn't keep this pace up for 20 minutes and called for her to slow down. We ran next to each other, we talked, it passed the time and very soon we'd been running for 10 minutes and we turned back. Not for us today to do the whole run then walk back, we were enjoying running but eager to get out the rain. Hays got very excited at the 10 minute mark as it's the longest she's run.

I'd taken my glasses off very soon after we started because I couldn't see a thing for rain spots. Never occurred to me I'd need my hat DUH 🙄 (didn't occur to me I needed a bathroom visit before I left home either)

Back to the bridge, drop to a walk! She did it !!! Happyhays completed that run, back to the car, drive home, indoors, bathroom, tea, peel off wet clothes and sit.

I dunno who that woman is in the picture, can't be me, I wear glasses. But doesn't Hays look happy???

I’ve often thought that I need windscreen wipers on my glasses. Wonder if anyone’s invented any 🤣. I’m behind in reading HU posts so trying to catch up with all I’ve missed but today Thursday is meant to be a sunny day so hope you can get out again in nicer weather x
