Wow Wow Wow - What a week!!

OK - so last month I completed my first 10k, and gave it a little while until I ran the same distance, with 7's and 8's being the long run of the week. So last Sunday, 10k mark 2 - and taking it what I thought was slowly, each km was gradually getting faster, and faster.........

Wow's #1 & #2 - got a 5k AND a 10k PB (38:16 for the 5, and 1hr 18:15 for the 10). Well chuffed to bits was exactly how I felt, especially as I was over 6 minutes faster than my first 10k.

So then I thought, what next for the rest of the week. Monday, a very, very slow 4k recovery run. Wednesday, a nice NRC Interval run with Coach Cory.

Then Wow #3 - ran my 5k route today....... av. 7:15!!!! Negative splits all the way down, with 4k & 5k being UNDER 7 mins each - 5k in 36:09.

Might take it easy tomorrow, but was planning on another NRC guided interval run.

Happy Christmas to all of you, and thank you to this forum - everything is possible!

What fantastic progress, it really shows the benefits of taking things easy as you increase distances, potential is building all the time as this weeks runs have proved to you. Well done. Merry Christmas and happy running 🤗
