Can’t believe I haven’t run for two and a half weeks! 😱 I have been back at work for a week and a half and had hoped to get out during the week last week. Sadly, time ran away from me, but now with half term ahead, it was time to get back out there! I stayed on the local roads - 5K at a nice slow, steady pace and hoping not to have lost too much fitness.🤞 Luckily, all felt okay and I am just so pleased to be back out running - I have really missed it.
Have a good week all.🙂

Well done Sandraj39 that's great news. Hope you continue to improve and enjoy your running.🏃♀️
As far as I'm aware, I've never had Covid and neither has 80 year old mum, with whom I've been living since Covid changed everyone's lives. This is despite me travelling regularly by public transport, staying in hotels, going to pubs and restaurants etc. I tested regularly (while test kits were free) as I was volunteering at Parkrun and never had a positive result nor any symptoms. Mum and I have both had all the jabs we were told to have, as many others had. It's all very strange!😒
That’s such good news Sandra! Bet it felt wonderful to be out again. 🙏🏻
My recovery from who knows what I had in September (several negative covid tests) took forever. I had no energy and the ability to ‘change gears’ whilst running was impossible. So weird. I’m glad you don’t appear to have that. 🥰
That sounds great - well done 😊 I am struggling to get 100% better after getting a nasty virus but not Covid (children full of colds/coughs etc). After 3 weeks still feel tired, sneezing, but if a cough etc 😕. Hoping to knock it on the head during the holiday - just annoyed I can’t get out for a run, especially since weather is glorious 😡
